Sydney Science Festival: Meet Real Life Scientists (6:00pm AEST)

Sydney Science Festival celebrates and showcases Sydney’s diverse and multidisciplinary science and innovation community.

This panel discussion at Parramatta Library has already sold out, so we will be sharing a live stream of the event with our online science community.

The event is hosted by The Scicommunity OG Naomi Koh Belic (@naomikohbelic) who is an active stem cell researcher and science communicator that has featured as a biology expert on Discovery Channel and hosted SCIENCEY with ABC.

Panelists include:

  • Kirsten Banks is a proud Wiradjuri Woman with an undeniable love for space and astronomy who dreams of joining the big stage of science communication with Brian Cox and Niel Degrasse Tyson.
  • Petr Lebedev is a PhD at the University of Sydney School of Physics, a passionate science communicator, musician, rock climber and nerd.
  • Dr Jibran Wali is a postdoctoral scientist at the Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney, and his research focuses on metabolism, nutrition, obesity and diabetes.
